The new ISO 18193:2021, providing regulatory requirements for safety and functionality testing for “Cannulae for extracorporeal circulation” has recently been published.

The standard is quite descriptive about the test procedure and an appropriate test setup for blood cell damage testing. Our team at ac.biomed labs is well prepared to provide support in hemolyis testing for single or double lumen cannulae. Feel free to contact us!

Due to our home-office policy, electronic communication by email is currently the preferred option.

Nevertheless, the ac.biomed team is available for you at anytime by e-mail and partially on the central phone number +49 241 942 618-0. You may also contact our customer service on the following interim number: +49 1590 4499 018. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by temporary non-availability.
Stay healthy!

Dear valued Clients,

together we are facing the most challenging time that all of us have ever seen in our business. We are all experiencing that health is a fragile good and that saving lives must be our ultimate goal.

Therefore, we are not only accepting what the WHO and national organs are requiring from us, but ac.biomed actively participates in promoting what is the best for our communities, even if it is hard for us individually.

We at ac.biomed have taken strict measures to protect our employees and their families, as well as the ones around us.

Through these measures we have ensured at the same time that we can continue to provide our most essential services to our customers.

We know that time is essential to your business and the tests or studies that you are running with us may have a huge impact on your development program and/or regulatory approval.

All services that are run in our own ISO-certified laboratories will be kept alive as far as political decisions will allow us to. This may be subject to change (force majeure), updates will be provided as available.

We have been informed today that testing conducted at our partner-labs at the RWTH University of Aachen will be affected to a certain degree, as the local government may decide a shutdown for all Universities.

The team of ac.biomed is using its best efforts to communicate as soon as possible any influence this might have on the projects you are running with us.

We apologize that this situation is not in our hands, and we greatly appreciate your understanding and support of our fight to stop spreading of the virus. Let us contribute to save lives!

Our full team is available at least via eMail in their home-offices, so any of questions or concerns you want to share with us are welcome!

Sincerely yours, and good health to you and your families!
